Yes, I realize that if you are in a hot air balloon or other flying-space contraption, you can get farther away.
Latitude is like the rungs of a ladder, Longitude has more degrees, therefore it is longer.
If you know the degrees of your antipode, you should enter them here!
Also one of my favorite interactive mapping concerns, The Confluence Project, has a whole page devoted to photographs from antipodes!
If you find that your antipode happens to be in an ocean, you are not alone!
It's not a coincidence that continents are balanced with oceans! It's all about centripetal force!
